Kudos4Kids collects student information on behalf of and at the direction of schools. All student data is used solely for educational purposes related to house point tracking, student recognition, positive behavior management, and school analytics.

We do not use student data for any purpose beyond providing and improving the educational service authorized by the school.

FERPA Compliance — School Official Exception

Kudos4Kids operates under the "School Official Exception" under FERPA (20 U.S.C. § 1232g). This means:

• We perform an institutional service on behalf of the school
• We use student data only for authorized educational purposes
• We are subject to direct control of the school regarding data use
• We comply with FERPA's requirements for protection and re-disclosure

Under FERPA, parents have the right to inspect and review their child's educational records, request corrections, and consent to disclosures of personally identifiable information. Contact your school administrator for assistance.

Data Ownership Remains with the School

Student Data Is Not Sold or Used for Advertising

We do not use or disclose student information for behavioral targeting of advertisements. Student data is used for authorized educational purposes only.

COPPA Compliance

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA):

• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13
• All student data is provided by the school or imported via OneRoster integration
• Schools obtain necessary parental consent before providing student data

Data Deletion

Schools can request deletion of data at any time:

• Individual Deletion: Schools can remove individual student records through the platform
• Bulk Deletion: Schools can export and delete all school data upon request
• Contract Termination: All school data is deleted within 90 days after account closure, unless legally required to retain
